Why We Built This Site
Iowa gives the public several ways to reach warrant and case information, yet no single source supplies a final answer. Lyon County's sheriff publishes a dated Warrant List PDF and a separate Most Wanted page. The Lyon County Clerk of the District Court keeps the case docket. Iowa Courts Online provides public case and citation access, while the IOWA System is limited to criminal-justice agencies. Because Iowa abolished separate municipal courts, even city traffic and municipal-infraction cases route through District Court. We organize those official routes so Lyon County residents can start with the office that actually holds each part of the record.
What You Will Find Here

- Outstanding warrants: how to read outstanding warrant records without treating a snapshot as final
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise inside Iowa District Court
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are issued and served in Lyon County
- Resolving a warrant: the steps to resolve a warrant, from talking to an attorney to posting bond and a motion to recall or quash
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to an Iowa court, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, or any government agency. Its limits are firm:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or warrant listing on this site is current right now
Only the court that issued the warrant or the sheriff's warrant unit that holds it can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can point you to the right office, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their services, prices, results, and data practices. A paid signup may produce a referral fee that supports site operation. No partner result is an official Lyon County warrant confirmation, and the issuing court or sheriff must verify anything that matters.
